These are the ranges we typically see quoted in Colorado. They are not a quote. Along the Front Range, competition genuinely moves these numbers. Off the corridor and into the mountains, construction cost dominates everything else on this page.

What actually moves the number
- Lit building or new build. The single biggest variable, and in Colorado terrain it swings wider than in flatter states.
- Front Range or off corridor. Competition along the corridor pushes prices down in a way that simply does not happen in the mountains.

- Contract term. Sixty months beats thirty six meaningfully, and carriers absorb far more construction cost on a longer term.
- Whether you need an SLA. Dropping from dedicated to broadband remains the largest single cost reduction available.

How to get the number down
- Get three quotes. Nothing else you do will move the price as much.
- Price 36 and 60 month terms side by side, including any construction contribution.
- Ask what the next bandwidth tier costs. The step up is often small and it buys years of headroom.
- Start the conversation 90 days before your current contract ends, not 10.
- Ask specifically whether the building is already lit. If it is, say so, because it changes what the carrier can offer.

Why is dedicated internet so much more expensive than broadband in Colorado?
