Bresnan Communications was the Montana cable company, founded by Bill Bresnan in 1984, and the plant Spectrum sells over in this state today is largely the plant Bresnan built. Cablevision bought the company in 2010 and renamed the systems Optimum West. Charter bought those systems and completed the purchase on 1 July 2013. Nobody has sold service under the Bresnan name since. This page exists because Montana contracts, circuit records and invoices still carry it.
