Business Fiber Broadband Pricing in Ohio

These are the monthly prices we typically quote in Ohio at a building that is already lit. They are not a quote for your building. Ohio is competitive enough that the direction of travel is the opposite of a thin market: where two or three carriers genuinely reach an address, real quotes land at the lower end of what these figures suggest. Columbus, Cleveland and Cincinnati are where that pressure is strongest, and Canton is where it is weakest. Once a build is involved anywhere, construction cost dominates everything else on this page.

What the monthly broadband price buys

• A lower monthly price and usually a faster installation than DIA
• Best-effort capacity that may be shared with other customers
• Download speeds that may be higher than upload speeds
• Business support, but generally no contractual bandwidth floor or repair time
• A practical primary or backup connection for many small and mid-sized sites

When business fiber broadband is the right answer

Broadband is usually the better buy when a brief slowdown is inconvenient rather than costly, the site mainly uses cloud applications and web traffic, and guaranteed upload capacity is not essential. Paying for an SLA you do not need is not optimization.

Protect it with a second path

For many sites, broadband from two different carriers with automatic failover produces better practical uptime than one expensive circuit. Confirm that the two services do not share the same last-mile route or building entrance before calling them diverse.

What moves the price

• Lit building or new build. The single biggest variable, and Ohio's commercial density means more buildings are already lit here than in most states we cover.
• How many carriers can actually reach you. Two credible options in a building move the price more than any negotiating tactic, and in Ohio's larger metros three or four is realistic.
• Which metro. Columbus, Cleveland and Cincinnati have real competitive pressure. Canton has considerably less, and the gap between them is worth more than any discount you can negotiate.
• Which incumbent. Greater Cincinnati is altafiber and the rest of the state is AT&T, and the two do not price the same way or absorb construction the same way.
• Whether a municipal network reaches you. Published municipal pricing changes what every other carrier will quote inside that footprint.
• Contract term. Sixty months beats thirty six meaningfully, and carriers absorb far more construction cost on a longer term.
• Whether you need an SLA. Dropping from dedicated to broadband remains the largest single cost reduction available, where the business can tolerate it.

When to price dedicated internet instead

DIA is a separate committed service. Price it when guaranteed symmetrical capacity, static IPs, an SLA, and a contractual repair target matter to the site.
