This is Horizon Telcom, founded in Chillicothe in 1895, which spent over a decade building fiber to the premises into Ohio's Tier 3 and Tier 4 markets, the cities national carriers treat as too small to bother with. Shenandoah Telecommunications completed its acquisition on 1 April 2024 and rebranded the commercial and residential fiber business to Glo Fiber. None of the eight metros on this site is its home ground, and that is precisely the point of it being here.
